Home Buyer’s Remorse: What to Expect
Think about this statistic: 44% of Americans experience buyer’s remorse over their current home.
44%
Almost half of the population has these regrets when making arguably one of the biggest purchases they could ever make. You would think that most people would do all the research necessary to ensure that it is the most easy-going, perfect process that it can be.
So what does this tell us? Firstly, it proves that no house is perfect. For one, perfection is usually a subjective term and we understand that there are some people who would claim their house is without blemish. However, some houses should have a sink in the laundry or more cabinets instead of shelving. These don’t compromise the structural integrity of the building, but they prove that some minor details could improve the overall value of the house.
Secondly, this statistic shows that we cannot have everything we want. It takes compromise to decide what goes into a home based off a set budget, so that means a customer might have to keep their eyes from getting too big.
But this is okay. Why? Because we can learn a valuable lesson from it: don’t stress the little things.
At Copeland Custom Builders, we seek to ensure that your house is as close to perfect as it can be. We strive to build everything in your house to your exact liking so that we can mitigate all of the stress that comes after your house is done. Because, trust us… buyer’s remorse is a real thing.
